Design Lightning Night | Design Summer, Design Journey, As a Designer

Design Summer is a design education project initiated by renowned designer He Jianping in Hangzhou in 2009. It is defined as a “professional teaching workshop for designers.” Over the past decade, over a hundred industry-leading professionals and experienced practitioners in the field of design have been invited to serve as mentors for this design education program. After a three-year hiatus, Design Summer 2023, with the theme “ReStart,” successfully took place from July 17th to July 27th at its traditional venue, Hangzhou Creative Town, and concluded.

In response to the conclusion of Design Summer 2023, Bananafish’s “Design Lightning Night” program is launched. We have invited several participants from Shanghai to share their experiences during the eleven-day event, showcase workshop works, and engage in discussions and archiving of their experiences with different teaching methods and approaches taken by their respective mentors. Everyone is welcome to sign up and join the event!
