It’s been over half a year since the last RISO workshop, and Pause Bread has missed everyone. On this scorching summer weekend, Pause Bread invites everyone to join the RISO Zero-Based Workshop for a refreshing experience!
Believe you’ve seen vibrant retro-style cards, colorful posters, and intricate handmade books at art fairs and book exhibitions. Many of these pieces bear the mark “Made with Risograph.”
What is Risograph? What kind of paper can Risograph print on? Why does Risograph have more emotional depth than conventional printing? Why is Risograph becoming the choice of more and more artists? All your curiosity will be satisfied at this weekend’s RISO Zero-Based Workshop.
No need for a computer, no need for drawing skills, and no need for prior preparation! Under the instructor’s guidance, you’ll create your first RISO poster artwork.
Workshop Content:
1. Introduction to the basic principles of RISO printing.
2. Browse various sample prints and classic books at the printing studio with the instructor.
3. Test dot sizes and brush styles.
4. Test overlapping color effects and learn color theory.
5. Learn color separation, plate separation, and the printing process under the guidance of the instructor.
6. Create your own A3 poster and share and exchange ideas with the group.
